St. Bart's Calendar

"Seven acolytes from St. Bartholomew's and the rector, the Rev. Dr. Carol Flett, and parents, attended the 2007 National Acolyte Festival, held at the Washington National Cathedral on Sat. Oct. 6, 2007. This is the second year that acolytes from St. Bartholomew's have participated in this annual event, where 2000 acolytes representing 200 Episcopal Churches from all over the United States gather for worship, to receive a medal, have lunch and attend workshops. The grand Opening Procession takes one hour!

What a spectacle of pagentry! It was followed by a wonderful sermon addressed to young people, holy communion and a blessing from the Bishop of Washington, DC. We are definately going again next year!'
